Congratulations to New School students, parents, and faculty for another successful Physics Day. This student-generated, interactive event featured interactive projects, each demonstrating physics concepts.
Kindergrten created their own musical instruments and performed songs as they explained the concept of "sound." Grade One demonstrated simple machines through the manufacturing of shoes, while Grade Two explored the concepts of electricity and magnetism.
Grade Three created a lollipop factory to illustrated simple machines in industry and Grade Four explained the physics of amusement park games.
Students in grades Five through Eight explored such diverse topics as:
- Gauss rifle
- Light and sound
- Physics of sports
- Water rockets
- Rube Goldberg device
- Newton's Laws
- Water pressure
Students were encouraged to explore topics of interest and become experts on thos etopics as they relate to physical science.
